A pairing made in music heaven.

Georgian indie rock band of Montreal has a taste for theatrics, that's why they hooked up with the impeccably, if eccentrically, styled siren Janelle Monáe on their new record (and Monae's featured them on hers as well).

Both artists are hitting the Granada Theater in Dallas on Nov. 2 (next Tuesday) and it's a show you won't want to miss. I'm not. Look forward to a review of the show in an upcoming edition of the News-Telegram.

Sunday night marked the ending of two AMC TV series. Rookie "Rubicon" and Emmy-award winning "Mad Men" brought the action to a close. One of the series soared. The other one fell flat on its face.

So many choices ... only one lunch.

So. I'm changing my days off this week and heading to Fort Worth on Tuesday to see the Ansel Adams: Eloquent Light exhibit before it closes on Nov. 7. Will also catch the Masterworks of American Photography while I'm there.

International pop star Shakira Mebarak doesn’t seem to rest. Fresh off of her media tour for her English-language electronic pop album, “She Wolf,” the hip-shaking songstress is at it again with a new album entitled “Sale El Sol” (“The Sun Comes Out”) and a worldwide tour. And the News-Telegram got a special chance to cover her tour at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
