Janelle Monae and of Montreal to hit the Granada 11/2

Janelle Monae and Kevin Barnes, of Montreal's lead singer, on the cover of Blurt Magazine this year.

A pairing made in music heaven.

Georgian indie rock band of Montreal has a taste for theatrics, that's why they hooked up with the impeccably, if eccentrically, styled siren Janelle Monáe on their new record (and Monae's featured them on hers as well).

Both artists are hitting the Granada Theater in Dallas on Nov. 2 (next Tuesday) and it's a show you won't want to miss. I'm not. Look forward to a review of the show in an upcoming edition of the News-Telegram.

La Roux [The New British Invasion, Part 1]

La Roux’s Elly Jackson has become the poster child for the world of British electro-pop in the U.S. That may be thanks to her peculiar style, but the music really does speak for itself.
