1 killed in gunfire into crowd after Houston-area party

HOUSTON (AP) — Investigators say one man has been killed in gunfire following a party at a Houston-area apartment complex.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office says nobody was immediately arrested following the fatal shooting early Saturday.

Authorities say at least two people began shooting at each other, with up to 10 shots fired into the crowd of those leaving the party.

The body of a 22-year-old man was discovered in the parking lot after the altercation ended. The name of the victim wasn't immediately released. Nobody else was hurt.

Investigators are trying to determine who opened fire and whether any suspects fled before officers arrived.

Further details weren't immediately available.
