Good Kids Doing Good Things - Travis Students of the Month

Good Kids Doing Good Things - Beary Good Bears

Sulphur Bluff Elementary School Kelsey Wolf, Thomas Coberley, Ryan Vance, and Isaac Foley were chosen as the “Beary Best Bears” for April.  Fifth Grader Kelsey’s teacher says she is always ready to help and says Thomas, another 5th grader, always shows responsibility in his work. Ryan Vance, 1st grader was very helpful after a Little Dribbler’s game when he stayed to clean up the gym. Isaac Foley held the door open for students who had their hands full.

Boys and Girls Club needs yard tools

The faces aglow reflect a job well done by the Como-Pickton High School Family, Career and Community Leaders of America officers who satisfied their shoe fetish by collecting more than 100 pairs of tennis shoes and boots, not for themselves, but for the nationwide campaign “Shoes for Orphan Souls.”

The Sulphur Springs City Council earlier this week approved a resolution supporting the 2010 Census, and why wouldn’t they? It could be worth millions of dollars.
