Giving 'Em The Boot

Hopkins County United Way celebrated Wednesday not only meeting but exceeding last year’s goal by $40,000 — a 25.8 percent increase in funds that that will be used by recipient agencies for their clients.


Local man arrested for child pornography

Sheriff’s officers, in their continued efforts to crack down on crimes against children, arrested a 51-year-old Sulphur Springs man above a West Industrial Drive business for possessing child pornography.

Students at Sulphur Bluff Independent School District have participated in a number of activities and studying everything from freedom to writing, eco-friendly practices, leaership and the potential value of a college education. All grade levels are preparing for the upcoming PTO Halloween Carnival, an annual favorite for youth and the young at heart.
