Votes for Main Street Farmers’ Market in online contest triple in less than a week

The love just keeps coming for the Main Street Farmers’ Market. Less than a week after a Myssnews.com and  News-Telegram article urged people to vote for the Main Street Farmers’ Market in an online contest that pays the winner $5,000, the votes for Sulphur Springs have more than tripled.


No changes to SSHS graduation requirements for 2009-2010

While the latest legislative session passed education law which this year gives high schools and students more flexibility for electives in class schedules, Sulphur Springs High School will not be making those adjustments until the 2010-2011 school year, according to Assistant Superintendent Randy Reed.

Sandra Glenn hands Kay Morrison a bowl of beans at the Genealogical Society’s beans and cornbread luncheon Friday. The event benefited the society’s library with a $5 donation per plate.
