Rules change aids veterans exposed to Agent Orange

Hopkins County Veterans Service Officer Capt. Joe Reid Scott announced Tuesday that the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has added new diseases to the list of those presumably caused by exposure to Agent Orange and other herbicides while serving on the ground in Vietnam.

As the Hopkins County Dairy Festival approaches, so do two upcoming dairy events sponsored by Northeast Texas Livestock and Dairy Association, which will allow area youths to showcase the dairy cows they’ve been tending over the course of the last year.
