C.S.I. - Cumby Style

CSI Cumby High School student Timmy Cook is administered a “cheek swab” DNA test by HCSO Crime Prevention Specialist Rex Morgan Tuesday. Morgan attended Lee Gifford’s science class to demonstrate the varying methods of collecting evidence at a crime scene. Gifford has created a program where her students must solve a fabricated murder through forensic means. The scene of the imaginary crime is the classroom itself. Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office is starting a new crime prevention program, and has selected a Sheriff’s Posse member with 35 years of law enforcement experience to head the program.

They may  not have set a record this year, but local letter carriers were especially thankful to postal customers in Sulphur Springs and Brashear communities for their generosity which made this year’s National Assoc. of Letter Carriers “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive a success.
