Serving up a lovely lunch

Mitchell Chapel Church of God In Christ members First Lady Delane Gatlin, Sis’ Jackie Jackson and Mother Gyvorn Shamlin dish up a special “Happy New Year” pork chop lunch Friday. Mitchell Chapel will serve a chicken spaghetti lunch at 11 a.m. next Friday, Jan. 15, for a donation of $6.50. SSISD to enter ‘equalize the wealth’ agreement with Rankin ISD

Sulphur Springs Independent School District trustees have approved a resolution to enter into a partnership agreement that will allow Rankin Independent School District to “reduce property wealth by funding the education of non-resident students.”

The Pilot Club of Sulphur Springs has been accepting nominations for the Caregiver of the Year Award for several weeks, but time is slowly running out to recognition one special person who sacrifices so much to care for a loved one.
