The Open Road:Traffic Starts Rolling On State Highway 11 Extension

Ceremonies this morning preceded the official opening of the long-awaited extension connecting State Highways 11, 154 and 19 on the south side of Sulphur Springs.


Groundbreaking for new middle school scheduled for July 22

A groundbreaking ceremony officially kicking off construction at the site for the new Sulphur Springs Middle School facility is planned next month.

District court takes first steps toward resolving bail bond issue

Several thousands of dollars were collected Monday morning in Hopkins County’s 8th Judicial District Court when Judge Robert Newsom took the first steps toward resolving a long-running issue with bail bonds in the county.
