Stella Bagley to compete for Ms. Texas Senior Classic title

Como resident Stella Bagley was crowned Ms. Hopkins County Senior Classic and will represent the county at the state competition on Aug. 26-29, at South Fork Hotel in Plano.

Hopkins County Memorial Hospital Board member Joe Bob Burgin honored for excellence in governance

AUSTIN — A local resident has been recognized by Texas Healthcare Trustees for “excellence in governance or continuing excellence in governance.”

Sulphur Springs Public Library’s Summer Reading Program, sponsored by Golden K Kiwanis Club, encourages children to read as many books as they can in four weeks.
