The Sulphur Springs Middle School cheerleaders will begin the new  year on an especially high note, returning to the halls with numerous awards for their chants, technical improvement and spirit at the National Cheerleader Association Spirit Camp at Southern Methodist University.

Hopkins County’s population consists of an inordinate number of mature residents, who give generously of their time and resources to help others. Just look at the number of retirees and senior citizens who volunteer their services to help at the hospital, Senior Citizens Center and other deserving organizations throughout the city.
