Parent orientation activities planned at all four Sulphur Springs ISD elementary schools this week

Parents of Sulphur Springs students from first grade up this month will have an opportunity to meet with their child’s teachers to learn more about their daily schedules, classroom procedures and special programs.

Everyone has gifts. Not everyone shares them with the world. For eight years, 1987 Sulphur Springs High School graduate Jeff Smith has shared his musical talent with the people of Central America. This summer, he made his sixth trip to Nicaragua with other members of First Baptist Church.

A Como-Pickton second grader was flown to Children’s Hospital after being struck by a pickup while getting off a school bus Friday. In another accident, a woman was injured when a piece of concrete came through her window and struck her on the head.


C-P school sponsoring a dose of ‘Reality’; community involvement encouraged for fitness program

Como-Pickton school is sponsoring "Reality Check 2010," a program to further one goal of the school’s systemic plan for “healthy minds and bodies” and more community involvement.
