Katelyn Cody, the 2009 Hopkins County Dairy Festival Queen, will crown her successor Saturday night at the 51st annual Dairy Festival Queen Pageant and Coronation. The pageantry begins at 7 p.m. at the Hopkins County Regional Civic Center auditorium.

If you’ve got an hour of time, a driver’s license and reliable vehicle the Meal-A-Day Center has got a job for you. A driver is needed on Fridays to deliver meals to the shut-ins and other program recipients who are unable to prepare meals for themselves.

SSHS seniors who fail TAKS test no longer allowed to walk the stage at commencement

Students who have not passed all Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills tests at the end of their senior year will no longer be allowed to walk the stage with the rest of their classmates during Sulphur Springs High School’s graduation exercises.
