Trooper makes third drug bust of the week while patrolling I-30

For the second night in a row, Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Joseph Hogue made a felony arrest after seizing more than 5 pounds of marijuana as a result of a routine traffic stops on Interstate 30. It’s also the third I-30 bust made this week by Hogue, who also seized 1 kilogram of methamphetamine Sunday night.

Top floats in annual Dairy Festival event named

The Hopkins County Dairy Festival every year recognizes the best conveyances and entries in the annual parade. This year the top three “Little Kids” and commercial floats were recognized, as was the queen contestants’ sweepstakes winner during the annual Dairy Festival Queen’s Pageant and Coronation.
