A picture is worth a 1,000 words. On Saturday, millions of words captured by photographers were exchanged worldwide in participation in Scott Kelby’s Third Annual Worldwide Photo Walk, and more than 40 photographers of all levels of expertise gathered in Sulphur Springs as part of this historic event.

The walk, sponsored by the Sulphur Springs Downtown Business Alliance, captured moments of time in this community’s history while encouraging the love of photography.

Two treated by EMS after fire at apartment; man arrested for DWI after driving past barricades

Two people were treated for smoke inhalation after Sulphur Springs firefighters were called around 10:30 p.m. Friday to a kitchen fire at the Bellmore Apartments. The fire was snuffed out after causing heavy damage to cabinets and woodwork.
