Balch Springs man arrested for money laundering

A Balch Springs man was jailed Friday night after Cumby Police found nearly $28,000 in his possession during an interstate traffic stop.


SSISD reports $11.786 million in grants to provide special programs

Sulphur Springs has a team of people who utilize their special skills in grant writing to apply for and attain literally millions of dollars to provide resources and supplemental programs the school district would otherwise not be able to afford.

Meal A Day volunteers get a meal of their own at Saturday’s Meal A Day Volunteer Brunch held at the Senior Citizens Center.
