SSISD teacher appraisers, calendar approved

A teacher appraisal calendar and list of appraisers for the 2014-15 school year were approved earlier this week by Sulphur Springs Independent School District trustees during their regular September board meeting.

Sulphur Springs’ annual Alzheimer’s Walk to Remember will continue this year with a different coordinator and primary sponsor. 

Senior Citizens Center Program and Marketing Director Karon Weatherman has agreed to head up this year’s campaign to raise $10,000 for Terrific Tuesdays. KSST is partnering to host the event.

SSHR is also having a bake sale Friday to raise Funds for Alzheimers patients. The bake sale will offer sandwiches for $6 and baked goods like cookies, cakes and pies. Campuses without communications Monday

All campuses in Sulphur Springs Independent School District were without telephone service and network computer services for a few hours Monday due to a transformer problem at Sulphur Springs Independent School District Administration Building.


SSISD enrollment hits new record at 4,365 students

Enrollment at Sulphur Springs Independent School District soared this year, marking at least the fourth year in a row that enrollment has fluctuated by at least 60 students.
