More better. Moreland sparks comeback win

CHICAGO (AP) — The Texas Rangers did little for most of the night against Chicago's Chris Sale, except strike out. Once he left the game, that's when things turned around.

Pinch-hitter Mitch Moreland drove in two runs with a bases-loaded single off closer David Robertson in the ninth inning, and the Rangers beat the White Sox 2-1 after being dominated by Sale on Friday.

Cowboys QB Romo back strong, misses no offseason workouts

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Tony Romo walked off the field after the Dallas Cowboys finished their final minicamp practice without stopping to speak with reporters.

The four-time Pro Bowl quarterback said plenty by taking part in every organized offseason workout for the first time in three years.

Vanderbilt beats TCU 7-1, returns to finals

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — A couple of stars who led Vanderbilt to its first national championship put the Commodores in position to play for another one.

Dez won't miss camp or games, Jones says

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones wants Dez Bryant to spend his entire career with the team, and anticipates that the disgruntled All-Pro receiver will be at training camp and the regular-season opener.

Bryant has not signed his franchise tender that will guarantee him $12.8 million this season. He has indicated his willingness to skip regular-season games without a new long-term deal.

Rangers use Gallo homer to beat LA

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Like many free-swinging sluggers, it's either feast or famine for Joey Gallo — home run or strikeout. In his first confrontation with Clayton Kershaw, the Texas Rangers' 21-year-old rookie fanned twice against the reigning NL MVP and hit a very long two-run homer in between.
