Wildcat Notes: Daniels turns in top five rushing game

WACO – Friday was the final game of the season for SSHS running back Kendrick Daniels, and it ended up being one of the best games ever by a Wildcat running back.


Cumby dominates All-District 18-1A team

The coaches of District 18-1A recently selected volleyball honors. The Cumby Lady Trojans finished their season as the regional semifinalist with a 36-6 overall record.

Taking the top honors was Lady Trojan senior Savanah Neal as the Most Valuable Player. Accompanying her at the top of the selections was teammate senior Laura Oviedo as the Offensive MVP.


Saltillo teams advance to tournament finals

SALTILLO — The Saltillo tournament continues for the final day of action today at the Kerry W. Garmon gymnasium. Playing for the championship prize for the girls bracket will be Saltillo against Rivercrest at 6 p.m. and for the boys, Saltillo against Avery at 7:30 p.m.

WOLFE CITY — The Cumby Trojans lost their first game to the hosting Wolfe City Wolves, 48-36.
