TEXARKANA — The Texas High Tigers played like they were trying to clinch a playoff berth, downing Sulphur Springs, 88-64 here Tuesday night.
The Wildcats stayed close early, trailing 21-19 at the end of the first quarter.
“We had a great first quarter and played well most of the game,” said Sulphur Springs head coach Braughn Curtis. “It came down to transition points and offensive rebounds that beat us. We didn't get back with the intent to stop someone and Texas High took advantage of that and got some easy buckets.”
