Lady Cats whip PT, 17-5

LONGVIEW — The Sulphur Springs Lady Cats closed out the regular season with a 17-5 rout over Pine Tree in District 15-5A competition.
    Sulphur Springs had 16 hits and scored at least once in five of the seven innings played.

    WOLFE CITY — Track teams from Cumby, Como-Pickton and North Hopkins had representatives at the area track meet for District XIII and XIV.
    Cumby finished second in the boys division behind first place Blue Ridge.
