Memorial junior league begins at Classic Lanes

June 30 marked the beginning of a six-week junior league in honor of past Classic Lanes bowler, Jim Mason.  The junior league was named Jim Mason’s “Have a Ball” Junior League after Mason for contributions for youth bowlers made by he and his family.  Mason was not only a competitor but a friend to many of the bowlers from the Thursday Men’s Commercial league.  Mason was a Dallas resident and had traveled to bowl at Classic Lanes from the early 1980s until his retirement in 2005.
