C-P track athletes compete in Edgewood Invitational

EDGEWOOD — The Como-Pickton track teams went to compete at the Edgewood Invitational track meet Thursday night among the 15 other schools.

The C-P Eagle varsity scored 17 points while the C-P Lady Eagles finished with 10 points.


NH track athletes compete in district

HAWKINS — The North Hopkins girls and boys track teams took part in the recent distrit meet held at Hawkins High School.

The Lady Panthers were eighth place with 31.5 points.


SS All-district soccer players

Sulphur Springs was once again a playoff team in girls soccer.

New head coach Jesus DeLeon took the team to postseason ending only in defeat against Frisco Wakeland.

“The girls were among the top contenders for all the superlatives,” said DeLeon. “Lucy Lara won the MVP for midfielder. She was one of the top scorers in the District despite playing in only five district games due to her participation in the CONCACAF World Cup qualifying tournament in Costa Rica.


Wildcats take on Pirates tonight

Time is running out for the Wildcats if they want to make the baseball playoffs.

Sulphur Springs begins the second half of the District 13-4A slate tonight, at Pine Tree at 7 p.m.


Saltillo earns golf honors
