Lady Trojans down the NH Lady Panthers

CUMBY – The Cumby Lady Trojans took on the North Hopkins Lady Panthers at home Tuesday night in district volleyball play.


Wildcats climb to No. 6 ranking

After recording a 26-15 road win over Wichita Falls Rider, the Sulphur Springs Wildcats were rewarded with a No. 6 Class 4A Associated Press football ranking.

The Wildcats were only ranked once in 2008 before losing in district play and dropping out of the poll for the remainder of the year.


Finding New Ways To Win

This is not the 2008 version of the Sulphur Springs Wildcats you are watching.
These ’Cats march to a different drummer. While they can still put up points at times like the state champions did, but they have other tricks up their sleeves.
The success continues, just in different ways. Getting a 3-0 record is still a a 3-0 no matter the method.


Jason Parmer leads high series for the week

Jason Parmer comes off a mediocre showing during the summer session to light up the lanes for the first two weeks of competition of the fall season. Parmer fired a 762 three-game series during the Tuesday Night Mixed league. Parmer’s set was the center’s high for the week. Parmer steadily increased with each game rolling 236, 248 and 278. After just two weeks of competition Parmer is averaging 228 and holds the third high average for the league.
