CELESTE — It wasn't quite as the polls predicted, but the road to the playoffs isn't always smooth. The Cumby Trojans took vengeance for last year as they claimed a 28-14 victory over the Celeste Blue Devils Friday.
The win made the end of district play even more sweet for the team and especially the senior players.
“The seniors this year have been key to our success,” Cumby Trojan head football coach and athletic director Ed Perez said prior to the win. “Many of them worked really hard this summer to be in this position.”
