SS teams meet Marshall tonight

    Welcome to the brave new world of 2017 and the return to District 16-5A competition for both Sulphur Springs varsity basketball teams.
    The Wildcats, 16-4 overall, 1-0 in district, hosting Marshall. Three games are slated with the freshmen starting at 5 p.m. followed by the junior varsity and varsity.

SS varsity soccer girls 2-0

    The Sulphur Springs varsity girls remained undefeated in soccer action with a 1-0 win over Texarkana Pleasant Grove.
    Lauren Helm scored the winning goal Friday, the ball bouncing off a defender into the net according to Lady Cats head coach Jesus DeLeon.
