Time is flying by isn’t it? Spring is really wonderful with these moderate temperatures.

Last week, I met Mrs. Swindell, who has things in one of the stores downtown. She was selling some of her items. That started me to thinking: Who owns some of the other buildings downtown? There are some interesting-looking items in the buildings. Would love a chance to look around, as I am a collector. Not saying a collector of what. Ha!

Friday morning I stopped to visit with the men at the store. They meet every morning and every day at lunch. They always seem to clam up when I walk  up. Mr. Pettigrew did tell me that his wife, Gail, was home and doing better. Glad to hear that. If you ever really want to know what is going on in Brashear, just stop by The Ol’ Store and they will give you an update.

Garden News: Tom has greens. He said for me to let everyone know. Just call and let us know you are coming and he will let you know which garden and what kind. He has collard greens, turnip greens, mustard greens, and beet greens. Remember the number is 903-612-8806.

Seniors, don’t forget about Rock Creek’s Big Bingo Bash. Prizes, food, and good people.

Happy birthday to Bradley Kougher and Sharon Vice, April 26; Daniel McDonald, April 27; Emily Alexander and Jayden McDonald, April 29; Donna George and L. D. White, April 30.

Not much going on, so until next week, take care. Call 903-612-8806; e-mail me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ; or just come on by on CR 1119. Watch out for growing grass!
