I have heard that Sonny and Barbara Stewart have a rough go for a while but are home now and doing better. Let’s pray for them to continue to get better. While you are praying keep Janet in mind, too, as she is doing poorly.
Marie tells me it’s fine to raise the flag now at the cemetery. We want to send kudos to Ron Bramlett for replacing the flag rope.
I have been falling down on the job. I have been neglecting to congratulate the students here in Brashear. I know that Kayla Philips received district recognition in basketball and is very active now in track. Go Kayla. Also I hope everyone heard that Tyler Higginbotham signed a letter of intent to play football at the next level. Congratulations Tyler. If you have any other news on our school kids from our area, please call. I consider Cumby, Miller Grove part of Brashear too.
Carolyn Clark McPherson emailed me this week and asked for prayers for her brother, E. J. Clark. His wife, Margaret Bell Clark, of 57 years and have just received news that her illness is terminal. Margaret and E. J. we will keep you in our prayers. May God be with you and your family during this time.
Well the evil world is knocking on our door; the shooting in Commerce was too close. My question is “How does a young man get an AK 47 in this part of the world?”. Just a very scary time.
Garden notes: If you know Tom t, you kno our garden is a major part of our life in the spring and summer. Tom has been busy and has radishes up and everything that needs to be in the ground this early is in. Be on the lookout for signs soon selling some of this produce.
Birthday wishes go to my very best friend, Brenda McKinzie, on March 16. If you see her, make sure you wish her a very good one. Birthday wishes to Carolyn and Glen George, March 11; LaJuan Snider, March 13; and Bradley Darrow, March 14.
How many of you are going “green”? Has everyone noticed our own wind turbine here in Brashear? I am wondering what you have to go through to get your own wind turbine. I would love to be a conservationist and use less electricity, water and save our environment. Is there anyone around here who has their own water source? I would like more information; please let me know.
