The season is here. Eating until you drop. No really, a good time for everyone to be with those they love. We are all so blessed in our world. We have a roof over our heads and food in our stomach. Sometimes maybe not enough, but we are not hurting for substance.
Our pastor gave us some food for thought on Sunday. She mentioned that maybe we really think of this season as Thanks-living. We need to take time to thank God and our loved ones for everything we have. So in that mode, Thanks to all of my friends; and neighbors for your nice comments about my article. It may not be the best but it comes from the heart.
I would like to send up a heart felt goodwill message to Nancy Smith, my grandmother’s sister, to get well quick. She had a fall and broke her shoulder. We hope she continues to get better. To those who are sick during this holiday season, may we be feeling better real soon.
Happy birthday to the following: Connie Hall, 11/25; Carol Baxter, and Lori Evans, 11/27.
You know that I cannot write without mentioning the Wildcats. They are doing great. Let’s all be there to support the boys. It does mean something for fans to come up and talk to the boys about what a great game they played. Tyler Higgingbotham mentioned that he had read my article. Of course, his grandmother, Pat, had mentioned what a good job Tyler is doing this year. We would like all of you to be at Mesquite Memorial on Friday night, Nov. 27, at 7:30 p.m. to cheer the boys onto a big win.
My grandchildren are here helping me to make sweet potato casserole and blueberry salad. I have such great helpers. May the good Lord bless and keep you safe this holiday weekend. Until next week, remember to be thankful for all that you have.
