Rain, rain, go away. Please do not come back for a good while. We have had enough rain lately. Has anyone ever seen this much rain in one month, especially October?

Did anyone else hear the geese go over on Monday? The only thing funny about that is they were going north. I hope they got turned around.

Last week, I met Mary Gregory working at the Senior Citizens Center. She is a member of Brashear Baptist Church. She lives in Ridgeway. She is a good worker and I enjoyed meeting her. If you have a doubt about volunteering there, just ask Mary how much fun it is. It sure gives you a good feeling.

We want to thank the Bright Star Farm for the sweet potatoes that they let us glean last week. The Senior Citizens Center is so thankful for the sweet potatoes.

We have been on a roller coaster with sickness this week. We almost lost Tom's mother last week, but she surprised us by waking up and talking on Sunday. She is one for doctors to study, for she has not had any nutrition for several weeks. Prayer is working for his Mom. Thanks to all of our friends and church members for their prayers.

The roads sure have gotten bad with all of this rain. I wonder how the commissioners are going to get them fixed before the winter weather hits hard? Good luck to our commissioners.

Happy birthday to Russell Blevins, Nov. 2; Teddy Jennings, Payton Mitchell, Nov. 2; and Colton Brantley, Nov. 3.
