To start the news today, I first want to thank all of you for the sweet thoughts, cards, and prayers we have received in regards to Tom's Dad passing. As I heard said last week, “He was a good man.” He truly was, and will be missed.
I heard the Cumby Telephone Co-op Membership Lunch and meeting went very well. We want to congratulate Tony Aguilar on his being elected to the telephone board. The gift that was given was a great one, too. Hope to visit with everyone next year; sorry I had to miss. I want to say a big hello to the three beautiful ladies I met at Cumby Telephone today. I didn't get your names but please call me or e-mail me your names.
We enjoyed the Alliance Bank Customer Appreciation Dinner on Tuesday night. We are so fortunate to have a bank that takes care of us. We saw a lot of friends there. I found out a lot of information about the trips that Alliance Bank plans that customers can take.
The weather has been awesome. Love the cooler weather, leaves falling, and the blue of the sky. We are so blessed to live in this area.
Last week, Billie Rushin gave me a pin for the Orphan Train Organization. It was one her husband received when he had performed at one of their meetings. I feel very fortunate that she remembered my interest in the Orphan Train and gave me this pin.
Don't forget the Alzheimer's Walk at Hopkins Memorial Hospital on Thursday, Oct. 22, at 5:30 p.m. The money collected will go to Terrific Tuesdays, a respite program for caregivers.
