Get stew tickets now at local banks, Chamber office

Would you like to be able to go straight to the service tents on Sept. 19 and not have to stand in line to purchase a ticket? Then get your stew tickets early. Stew tickets are on sale at Alliance Bank, City National Bank, Guaranty Bond Bank, Pilgrim Bank, Texas Heritage National Bank and the Chamber office! Once again, tickets are only $5 for all-you-can-eat-stew, which includes cheese and crackers, and children under 5 eat FREE!

125 stew sites selected for the 2009 World Champion Hopkins County Stew Contest

Don’t forget, the stew contest is Saturday, Sept. 19, and we will begin serving stew at 11 a.m. in Buford Park! If you have any questions, please give us a call at the Chamber at 903-885-6515! Only 2 days ’til the Stew Contest!

Don’t want to drive to the Stew Contest? Take the trolley!

If you don’t want to drive to the stew contest, then take the free trolley from the VF Outlet Mall to the stew grounds. The Trolley will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.. It will pick up in the parking lot of the VF Outlet on Bill Bradford Road and go directly to the disabled parking lot in front of Kids Kingdom for the Stew Contest. It will then head back to the VF Outlet and make the same run over and over throughout the day. The trolley should run every 15 to 20 minutes.

Don’t want to walk? Then use the THREE trolleys!

Not only can you take a trolley to the stew grounds, but we will also transport you from the stew grounds to the Fall Festival grounds, by way of THREE trolleys. The trolleys will pick up in the Disabled Parking Lot of Kids Kingdom, the back side of the Civic Center between the Civic Center and PJC-Sulphur Springs Center, and the south parking lot by the railroad tracks. Since there will be three trolleys, no one should have to wait to get to their desired location!
