Paris Junior College will be conducting a GED test registration at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22, at the PJC-Sulphur Springs Center, according to Callie Thompson, the community college’s director of testing.
This is not a come-and-go registration — applicants must be there at 1 p.m. to register. Registration takes approximately two hours to complete. Seating is limited, and applicants will register on a first-come, first-served basis.
Applicants need to bring a valid government-issued photo ID with proof of Texas residency. These include a driver’s license, a state identification card, a military ID or a passport.
The fee for all five tests is $60, or $12 per section for those who are retesting.
Child care is not provided, and children are not allowed in the registration or testing room.
The test will be administered on Friday, July 24. If pre-registration is not completed on July 22, the candidate will not be allowed to take the July 24 exam.
