COMMERCE, Texas - Bin-Shu Wu, chairman of the board of a Chinese pharmaceutical company, will speak at Texas A&M University-Commerce on Tuesday, April 28.
Wu will speak in the Innovations Room of the Sam Rayburn Student Center. His topic will be on consumption from an entrepreneur's perspective in China, as well as management theory and economics.
The entrepreneur started Shandong Shanzhu Pharmaceutical Group in 1994. He also serves as chairman of the Beijing Genetic Engineering Research Institute, the Beijing Norton Biology Research Institute, and the Biology Research Institute for Treasury Animals.
Wu's pharmaceutical group has 22 production enterprises, 600 subsidiary companies, and 2,200 agency offices. He has nine individual invention patents and one international patent. Six of his patents have been turned into consumer products.
Wu has been nominated as a national entrepreneur for his meritorious service to China's developing market economy by the China Market Research Association and by the China Economic newspaper.
