WACO, Texas (AP) — Dustin Dickerson had a career-high five RBIs on two home runs to help lead Baylor to a 10-7 win over Texas-Arlington on Wednesday night.
Dickerson, who extended his career-long hitting streak to 21 games, also had a double and scored on a double by Aaron Miller.
Baylor (24-11) jumped out to a 7-0 lead behind Dickerson's homers and a two-run single by Joey Hainsfurther.
Texas-Arlington (19-17) cut the lead to 7-3 behind a home run by Justin McPherson, a sacrifice fly by Matt Otteman and a single by Andrew Kainer.
After Texas-Arlington cut the lead to 8-7 in the eighth, Raynor Campbell hit a two-run homer for the Bears.
Reed Woytek (1-0) got the win, allowing one run on two hits in 2 1-3 innings. Logan Verrett picked up his second save of the season. Mark Picca (0-1) took the loss, giving up seven runs on eight hits in two innings.
