ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Tim Steggall hit a two-run single and scored the winning run on an error to give Texas-Arlington a 5-4 win over Baylor on Tuesday night.
Adam Boydston picked up his fifth save of the season as he got the final two outs in the ninth, leaving Baylor's tying run stranded on first.
Baylor (23-11) had taken a 3-0 lead in a wild fourth. Gregg Glime singled in one run and then scored on a throwing error. Raynor Campbell scored on a wild pitch.
Texas-Arlington (19-16) got one run on a fielder's choice in the fourth and UTA added four runs in the sixth.
Jason Mitchell (3-5) allowed one run on three hits and struck out four in the win. Craig Fritsch (1-5) took the loss, giving up four runs on three hits in 1-3 inning.
