E. Coble throws
CAMPBELL — The Trojans took a 12-0 win over Campbell with right-hander Ethan Coble hurling a no-hitter.
Coble threw just 55 pitches (34 strikes) in the complete game four inning win. Coble, who has signed to play college ball at Simpson College, struck out five and walked two allowing no runs or hits.
Braden Coble had five RBI from three hits; Ethan Coble knocked in three; Elmer Rodriguez and Austin Thomas each had two hits, knocking in one; R.J. Valentine had one hit, one RBI; Jake Petty and Dakota Young had base hits.
The Trojans had a 3-0 lead going into the fourth where they exploded for nine runs and secured the 12-0 victory.
The Eagles split a pair of games against Cooper in baseball action.
Como-Pickton won 13-3 in junior varsity competition.
Andrew Rasgado and Caemon Wilburn had one hit and three runs batted in each. Brian Blackburn, Hunter McPherson, Bruno Estrada and Bryan Patrick also knocked in runs.
Rasgado got the pitching win.
Cooper won 13-3 over Como-Pickton in varsity baseball.
Parker Cummings and Denton Lawson had hits for the Eagles.
Losing pitcher for Como-Pickton was Dylan Wiggins. Wiggins went five inning allowing 10 runs off 13 hits.
