Rain. Yes! We did need rain but in the last three weeks we have had seven inches of rain. Let's hope it keeps coming because the garden is doing great guns: turnips, turnip greens, two types of lettuce, spinach, broccoli and green onions. We are blessed.

Received an email from Carol Clark and she wanted to let everyone know that her brother, Joe Clark, is doing fairly well. She took him out for breakfast the other day and he really seemed to enjoy it. If you know Joe Clark, he would love a visit. He is currently at Wesley House.

It is with a sad heart that I have noticed that the Brashear store is for sale. Thanks to Kris Childers for giving it a try. Hope someone will step up and buy the store it is so needed.

After a period of six years, Tom and I are taking a break from Meal A Day. If anyone would like to help others in a great environment, this is the place for you. Great people to work with and you are helping others. See Karon Weatherman for more information.

Barbara called me with a request. She has lost a book and thinks she may have left it at the store. It is a large picture book of Bonnie and Clyde about their adventures. If anyone has seen this book, let Barbara know or call me. Tom and I would like the thank Precinct 1 road crew for cleaning up the trees that have fallen on my mother's place on the road. We appreciate it so much.

Running out of news so I will say take care and remember to smile for it might be the only smile someone sees.
