GRAND SALINE — The Como-Pickton Eagles seventh and eighth grade competed in Grand Saline's track meet on Monday. Even with the beginning of spring break, C-P had most of the JH competitors participate.

The eighth grade finished second with 112 points, and the seventh grade came home with a fifth place with 64 overall points. "I was proud of the turnout we had for the meet," said C-P head track coach Greg Roller. "Our teams competed hard on very little practice time. The weather finally worked out, and the guys we had participating enjoyed the meet. Grand Saline ran off a good track meet, we were finished up by 8:30 p.m."

The next action for the JH boys will be a track meet at Alba-Golden on Monday, Mar. 23. All track competitors are welcome and encouraged to attend practice all week even with the Spring Break holiday. Coach Roller will be conducting practice starting at 9 a.m. each day.
