Two people injured in the collapse of a house being demolished in the 100 block of Nicholson Street Wednesday morning are both said to be in stable condition.
Seth McElyea, 17, received serious head injuries when he was trapped between a wall and a roof that had fallen in and was airlifted to Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler.
According to Police Chief Jay Sanders, McElyea was in serious but stable condition in the Tyler hospital Thursday morning.
The other person, Tim Williams, received an ankle fracture and was in good condition at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital.
The accident happened as the men were working to demolish the decrepit house and the structure gave way.
