New Sulphur Springs head volleyball coach Allison Irvin is excited about the upcoming season and ready to get started.
She was encouraged by interest in the sport with a large turnout at camps this summer.

“I am really looking forward to our first practice Monday,” Irvin said. “We have a large group of girls that have expressed interest in trying out, and in knowing this, a lot of them have really stepped it up this summer.  We expressed to the girls in May that the summer is the time to work harder than your opponents, get in shape, and to get ahead,”
    The Lady Cats volleyball players in grades 9-12 will report to the track on Monday and Tuesday, 6:45-9 a.m., 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m; grades 11-12; 2-5 p.m., grades 9-10; Wednesday-Thursday, practice is 7:45 - 11 a.m. grades 9-12; noon-3 p.m.; Thursday at 6 p.m. a parent/athlete meeting is set.
Friday at 10 a.m. a dual scrimmage is set at the SSHS gym against Commerce and Cumby.
