     Several Sulphur Springs softball teams are in Dixie League playoff action this week.
   Coleman Park will host two state tournaments.


   The Belles Tournament for 13-15-year-old players will begin Saturday and continue through Tuesday if necessary.
  Hopkins County plays Canton at 9 a.m. Saturday the first day of competition.
  Other teams in the event include: Commerce, Palestine, Campbell, Tri-Cities, West Rusk, Liberty and Cleveland.
    Also at Coleman Park is the Angels X-play tournament for 9-10-year-old girls.
  The Hopkins County team opens play with an 11 a.m. contest against Honey Grove on Saturday.
    Other teams in the brackets are: Fannin County, Liberty, Canton, Tri-Cities, Winnsboro, Shepherd, Lindale, Delta County, Bullard and Palestine.
   The tournament also continues through Tuesday, if needed.
   The tournaments here will officially be opened with a 6 p.m. grand opening ceremony slated Friday at Coleman Park.
   In Lindale, the Hopkins County Ponytails will be in state tournament action. They play at 9 a.m. Saturday against Tri-Cities.
   Other teams in the event include: Bullard, Cleveland, Campbell, Diboll, Liberty, West Rusk, Canton, Fannin County, Lindale and Palestine.
   The double elimination Dixie event is schedule to run through Tuesday.
  Commerce will be hosting two state Dixie tournaments.
   Two Hopkins County teams play in the Debs division.
   The Nationals of Hopkins County face Pineland at 9 .m. Saturday. The Hopkins County Americans play Fannin County at 11 a.m. Saturday.
   Also in the tournament are Alto. Liberty  and Tri-Cities. The event ends Tuesday.
  The 7-8-year-olds compete Saturday through Tuesday in Commerce in the Dixie Darling action.
   Hopkins County Nationals play at 9 a.m. Saturday against Cleveland.
    Other teams include Bullard, Teague, Fannin, Liberty, Commerce, Fairfield, Bonham and Franklin County.
