James Kay Adamson, 74, of Sulphur Springs died Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 21, 1939, in Coolidge, the son of Buddy and Gennette Kay Adamson.
He married Malessa Miller on March 7, 1988, in Kemp. She survives.
Other survivors include sons Richard Ellis Adamson and wife, Maria Rodriguez, of Sulphur Springs, Russell Adamson of Bonham, Erik Miller and wife, Hannah, of Kingwood and Matthew Miller and wife, Melissa Hamlin, of Sulphur Springs; daughter Teresa Patterson of Malakoff; sisters Glenda Hataway and husband, Jon, of Lubbock and Frances Storms of Gatesville; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Myron Adamson.
No formal services are scheduled at this time.
Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
