Funeral services for Nora Dell “Nona” Bentley, 90, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 2, at the Fellowship Baptist Church in Como, with the Rev. L.D. Baxley officiating.
Interment will follow at Como Cemetery with Chad Beck, Chase Beck, Mckrae Bentley, Timmy Alexander, Steven Alexander and Kyle Cordell serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, June 1, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Nora Dell Bentley died Friday, May 30, 2014, at Rock Creek Health and Rehab.
She was born Aug. 14, 1923, to Burl G. Gibbons and Mamie (Harlow) Gibbons.
She married Willie Elmo Bentley in Hopkins County in 1943. He preceded her in death in 1998.
Mrs. Bentley was a seamstress at H.D. Lee and worked in food service and home health care.
She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Como.
Survivors include sons Mike Bentley and wife, Elaine, and Ronald Bentley; daughters Virginia Wilson and husband, Bill, and Diane Woodard; sisters Betty Taylor and Burrell Dean Merritt, all of Sulphur Springs; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by son Willie Adrian Bentley; sisters Pat Glasscock and Doris Dodd; and brothers Pete Gibbons, Charlie Gibbons and Hershell Gibbons.
