A funeral service for Karen Humphrey Cook, 58, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 26, at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Diamond officiating.
Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park with Jones Roberts, Milburn “Catfish” Hettick, John Humphrey, Mark Humphrey, Donald Lynn Patterson and Dubby Hinton serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, April 25, at the funeral home.
Karen Humphrey Cook died Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at her residence.
She was born on March 4, 1956, in Sulphur Springs, the daughter of Dan Wayne Humphrey Sr. and Jan (Butler) Humphrey.
She worked for the Winnsboro prison and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her children, Heath Powers and wife, Dolly, of Sulphur Springs and Chani Roan and husband, Cole, of Sulphur Springs; father Dan Wayne Humphrey Sr. and wife, Madeline, of Sulphur Springs; sisters Lara Humphrey of Dallas and Juli Price and husband, Clay, of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren Jordan Powers, Jalyn Powers and Case Roan; and nieces and nephews, Crystal Hall and husband, Lucas, Cody Humphrey, Mary Lauren Humphrey, Lindsey Ham and husband, Jarrod, Cade Price, Coen Price and Camri Price.
She was preceded in death by her mother and brother, Dan Humphrey Jr.
Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home.
