The Sulphur Springs Wildcats close out baseball season today with a 7 p.m. district game in Marshall.
Sulphur Springs, 14-10 overall, 3-6 in district, will not be making preparations for the postseason playoffs.

Marshall, 7-15, 2-7, also is out of the race in 14-4A action.
Sulphur Springs is coming off an emotional 9-8 victory at home for Senior Night.
The Wildcats came-from-behind late to down a playoff-bound Pirate squad.
The victory at home was one of the few bright spots in recent games.
The Wildcats end the season having lost four of their last five games.
“We are going to try and finish this season right.  This is our playoff game. Ben Brooks will pitch and I expect everyone to see the same effort and intensity as we had in the game with Pine Tree on Senior Night,” said Jerrod Hammack, Sulphur Springs head baseball coach.
In the earlier meeting between the two schools, Sulphur Springs erupted for an 11-1 home win over the Mavericks.
