Graveside services for Dan Williams, 93, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 24, at Greenview Cemetery with Charles Moore officiating.
No formal visitation will be held.
Dan Williams died Monday, April 21, 2014.
He was the son of Victor Emanuel and Ellen Russell Williams of Hopkins County.
He was married to Hartense (Hardy) Knight for 67 years. She survives.
Mr. Williams served in the U.S. Army in World War II (Pacific Theater) and in the Korean War. He retired in 1961 with the rank of major. He later retired from the Farmer's Co-op in Sulphur Springs.
Other survivors include son Randy Williams and wife, Cheri, of Tyler; granddaughter Bree Williams of Sulphur Springs; and sister Lillian Doris Ring of Sulphur Springs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and two brothers.
