Sulphur Springs senior Brennan Brock said he will sign a national letter of intent to continue his baseball career at East Texas Baptist University.
Brock, an all-district outfielder, said he chose the school after taking a visit to the Division III university located in Marshall.
“I looked over the school and talked with the coaches. I liked it really well,” Brock said. “I am excited about getting to continue my playing career. I will probably stay as an outfielder.”
Brock said he will be rooming with fellow Sulphur Springs player Garret Hood. Hood will be a member of the ETBU football team.
“Brennan Brock is the reason I coach,” said Jerrod Hammack, Wildcats head baseball coach. “What I mean by that is he is the kind of young man and player you want to work with. Brennan plays the game the way I like to see it played. He gives maximum effort and he respects the game. Brennan is simply a ballplayer. Brennan will be a huge asset to ETBU and I expect him to contribute immediately.”
