A funeral service for Ruth Milam, 89, of Fort Worth, formerly of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, at Tapp Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Moore officiating.
Interment will follow at City Cemetery with Stephen Beckham, Bill Campbell, Will Campbell, Drew Campbell, Phil Sartin Jr. and George Terry serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Milam died Saturday, April 5, 2014, in Fort Worth.
She was born in March 20, 1925, in Meadows of Dan, Va., the daughter of Herbert and Oma Stanley Terry.
She married William Kelly “Bill” Milam Dec. 30, 1944, in Washington, D.C. He preceded her in death in 2003.
She was retired from ABC Pharmacy and a member of First United Methodist Church of Sulphur Springs.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Milam, M.D., and Virginia Milam Campbell and husband, Bill, all of Fort Worth; three sisters, Sybil Butler and husband, Kelly, Mildred Koehler and husband, Bill, and Guelda Skaggs, all of Virginia; two brothers, Carl Terry and wife, Nellie, and Grady Terry, all of Virginia; two grandsons, William Benjamin Campbell of Columbia, Md., and Andrew Milam Campbell of Carrollton; and great-grandchildren Winifred and Meredith Campbell of Columbia, Md.
Memorials may be made to the National Alzheimer’s Association and/or National Down Syndrome Society.
