The evening will begin with the stew supper at 6 p.m. on the North Hopkins Independent School District campus. There is no admission fee, but a monetary donation is appreciated for the stew with all the trimmings. The auction will immediately follow the meal.
Ag students have learned a variety of construction methods and techniques using various materials. Many of those projects as well as a variety of items donated by local businesses — including a John Deere “Big Scoop” toy — will be auctioned off.
“This has been a very busy and productive year and the proceeds from the auction are used to continue that success,” said Christin O’Neal, NH FFA instructor.
A few of the student projects include a metal swing and a wooden tractor yard sculpture that will include a planter to hold a variety of plants and is worth, of being a focal point for any yard, according to school staff.
