NH game postponed

The softball game between North Hopkins and Cumby, originally set for Friday at 4:30 p.m. in Cumby has been postponed until Tuesday,

according to school officals

CUMBY — The Trojans had boys and girls advance in recent powerlifting action.
    Bailey Braddock in the 181-class, along with Madison Thomas, 123-class and Gabriella Aguilar, 148-division competed in regional and  state according to Cumby powerlifting coach James Talley.
    Braddock placed fourth in state.
    In boys action - Martin Angeles, 114-class; Nick Folse, 181-class; Cody Anderson, 198-class and Tylor Libby, 220-class advanced to regional,  but fell short of state.

District golf
finishes today
for SS teams
    WASKOM — The second round of the District 14-4A golf tournament will be held today at Cypress Hills.
    Action was scheduled Thursday, but switched to Friday due to rain and thunderstorms in the area.
    After Wednesday’s first round, Texas High topped the boys division with a 298 first round score. Sulphur Springs is tied with Hallsville at 312 in second with a round to go.
     In girls action - the Texas High Lady Tigers were in first place with a 320 score.
    Hallsville was in second place.
    Sulphur Springs was in the sixth, shooting 420 as a team.
