I would like to express my sympathies to the Alexander family on the loss of Marieta Alexander.

The Brashear Free Library is up and doing well. We stop by often to check and there has been some use. We are very excited about this. There is a Bible for anyone who would like one. Please keep it if you want, too. There is also the book, “The Shack,” several by Louis L'amour, mysteries by Stuart Woods and others. Drive by and check it out. You can find it in front of The Ol' Store. While you are there, stop by the store and purchase one of Amanda'a great hamburgers.

Well, I know the weather is nice, but the pecan trees have not begun to leaf out yet. So, hold off planting those tomato plants, pepper plants or other tender plants. You know Easter is late this year and there is always a freeze around Easter.

End of the year events are going on around the local schools. Testing is one of them. Please encourage any young people you know to take these tests seriously.

Remember to call me at 903-612-8806; email me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ; or stop by County Road 1119 for a visit. Our's is the house with a bulldozer by the barns. Take care and enjoy this great weather.
