Funeral services for Marieta Alexander, 81, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, at League Street Church of Christ with Jerry Savage and Bob Strate officiating.
Interment will follow at Brashear Cemetery, with Mrs. Alexander’s grandsons serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the elders of League Street Church of Christ.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Marieta Alexander died Saturday, March 29, 2014, in Sulphur Springs.
She was born Sept. 19, 1932, in Brashear, the daughter of Ross Noble and Katie Owen Noble.
She married Clifton Lavon Alexander May 14, 1954, in Dallas. He preceded her in death in 2012.
She was a homemaker and a member of League Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Dwight Alexander and wife, Michelle, of Sulphur Springs and Rodney Alexander and wife, Elizabeth, of Franklin, Tenn.; daughter Cynthia Johnson and husband, Rex, of Tyler; grandchildren Grant Alexander, Collin Alexander, Joel Thompson, Julia Belcher, Kaleigh Hatcher, Haddon Alexander, Hannah Alexander, Rachel Alexander, Katelyn Herrera and Alex Johnson; and great-grandchildren Perry Belcher, Benton Hatcher, Katie Alexander, Olivia Herrera, Grayson Herrera, James Belcher and William Thompson.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Odessa Davis, Oleta Hopkins and Evelyn Adley; and three brothers, Cleo Noble, James Noble and Audrey Noble.
